Stone Island x Hard Pack
Alex F. Webb
Against the volcanic landscape of Mount Etna, Alex F. Webb captures Stone Island for Hard Pack Magazine.
IMAGINE worked closely with Alex across film and image, bringing together the full post-production process under one roof.
A solitary figure in vivid blue outerwear climbs across a steep, dark volcanic slope, surrounded by an expansive pale landscape of snow and distant terrain. The dramatic diagonal composition emphasizes scale and isolation, making the person appear small against the rugged environment. Stark contrasts between blue clothing, black earth, and misty whites create a cinematic sense of exploration, endurance, and adventure.
For the film, we worked with Alex to find the story within the footage, developing its pace and atmosphere through edit, grade and VFX.
Sound was built from the ground up, combining an original composition with bespoke recordings to create something that felt entirely at home in the landscape.
A vast snow-covered mountain slope is rendered in intense orange and crimson tones, creating an otherworldly, almost volcanic atmosphere. Two small figures traverse the dark foreground, dwarfed by the monumental landscape surrounding them. Tracks and textured snow carve patterns across the terrain, while dramatic colour treatment transforms a familiar alpine setting into something cinematic, mysterious, and slightly surreal.
Alongside the film, our image team developed and finished the editorial stills, refining colour, texture and detail. The result is a consistent visual language across the project, while preserving the character of Alex’s photography.
